Job Summary:

School Farms is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Technical Officer to support our initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable farming practices within local schools. This role involves a combination of remote work and field visits, focusing on greenhouse management, project coordination, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of agricultural projects in Vane E.P and Ho Dome R.C Junior High Schools.
  • Oversee greenhouse operations, ensuring optimal plant growth, pest control, and maintenance.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Document and monitor project progress, prepare detailed reports on outcomes, and suggest improvements.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the organization’s leadership to support project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in greenhouse management and project management. – Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools.
  • Familiarity with agricultural best practices, pest management, and sustainable farming techniques.

  • Work Environment: This position is primarily remote, with required field visits to project sites. Candidates must be willing to travel as needed.
